It so happened many years ago that a young man received an award while at RCHS known as the Markward Award. To the young man's dismay the award was destroyed in the summer of 1972 during the flood named AGNES. As it came to pass, he was led to the link for the Markward Club of Phila. by a much older graduate (class of '58) from Roman. After some discussion the older graduate (TK) said "Let me look into it" Several months had passed and then the "Purple and Gold" leprechaun made his appearance at the young man's door in the shape of a USPS delivery man. Eager with anticipation the Young Man ripped off the covering indicating the package came from RCHS alumni. To his utter surprise he found the above items in the package. Of course this led to much rejoicing and celebrating in the young man's home. The young man (did I say that before?) would like to express his heartfelt thanks to the P & G leprechaun. Thanks Tom!! Moral of the story: don't ever underestimate the power of the P & G bond of brotherhood.
